Hot air sealers can process also single-layer films like Polyethylene (PE). Stream of hot air warms up and heat-seals the film while passing the unit. There is no motor drive, which simplifies attachment in a machine. They are mainly in use in v/f/f/s-machines, but also other applications where film must be heat sealed in continuous motion. Depending on film properties, seam width is between 1-3mm wide. There are different versions available, e.g. with air blowing cooling for chilling the seam afterwards.
